The meaning of endoxo

 ENDOXO

Endocannabinoids are endogenous substances that bind to cannabinoid receptors. Endocannabinoids, proteins for the production and breakdown of endocannabinoids and the associated receptors, i.e. binding sites for cannabinoids on or in cells, form the endocannabinoid system. Exocannabinoids are externally supplied cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD (cannabidiol). Exogenous cannabinoids or exocannabinoids also exert the effect in part by influencing the endocannabinoid system and binding to cannabis receptors. Endoxos (Greek): glorious, highly regarded.
